Is it in the human nature to procrastinate and put tasks off until later? Yes. As a matter of fact, it is. Humans have virtually perfected the art of procrastination and now the population needs more help than ever with this problem. What else could be the reason for having a library full of stop procrastination e-books and books, tapes and videos all over? With all of the books and ebooks coming out on a monthly basis you can easily fill up a whole persons shelf with just those.
If you want to end procrastination fast and easily there’s a lot of good ways to do that. First of all you usually need a good reason why, and this can be fear of loss or having a potential goal. If you have a goal to move towards and the rewards are great it becomes a great process and it’s an easy way to end it quickly.
If you want to increase motivation and gain more power in your life the you’ll need to have feelings of commitement to whatever you do. So having a well defined goal is the way to start. Once you are clear about the goal you want, you’ll soon feel emotionally attached and it increases your chances of ending procrastination fast.
Figuring out what a person really wants often begins with figuring out what they do not want. Most people who ask themselves the question “What do I really want?” can only answer it with things they do not want, thus creating a negative association with want. That is why the answers to the “What I want” question can usually be derived by flipping the answers around when the negatives surface.
There are also software that allows you to ask a question to it and it gives you back answers which shows you basically what you want in life and it’s aimed at getting these questions answered.
One of the most important parts of overcoming procrastination is goal setting and the techniques surrounding this. You need to have a great education on how to set goals effectively and should be the most important part of your self-education.

In today’s hectic world it is easy to lose track of things if you do not have some kind of time management strategy in place. So, here are some quick tips to help you to get the most out of the precious hours in your day.
1. You cannot manage your time - This may sound a strange way to begin a time management tips article, but it’s true. You cannot manage time. You have so many hours in your day and you can not change that. You can, however, manage how effectively YOU can use this time and your energy. Using your time well is about managing you, not about managing time.
2. Be effective, not efficient - Learn to discern between effective use of your time and efficient use of time, the latter being the better of the two. Folding and sealing 200 letters in one hour is efficient use of your time. Buying a machine to do it in five minutes is effective use of your time.
3. Know what you want - How can you spend your time the way you would like to if you don’t know what you want? Before embarking on any time management plan sit down and get a clear idea of exactly how you want to spend your time. This will give you something specific to work towards.
4. Get organized - Keep a time log to find out how you are really spending your time. Also, keep a daily time plan for each day so you know exactly what you want to achieve in each day, and work towards your longer-term goals.
5. Avoid time wasters - Time wasters are the arch-enemies of good time management. Worst of all, they are often so subtle that you won’t even notice them. Common time wasters include television, clutter, meetings and interruptions at work.

I am an outdoor super-enthusiast and a technophile. I once thought this was a rare combination but just recently I’ve discovered there are lots of us around. I’m a little disappointed in this new discovery because I really wanted to be different but looking at the bright side, being a tech junkie has helped me to truly appreciate everything the outdoors has to offer. Let me try to explain.
While hunting elk in Arizona a few years ago, I found myself alone in a high forest nearly ten miles from the pavement and about two miles from camp. I had decided to spend late afternoon and evening sitting beneath a forty foot pine tree and wait for an elk to walk by. This plan seemed innocent enough but as the day’s light began to disappear shooting an elk might not be such a good idea since I was by myself and I was an hour from camp. This is ironic to say, because shooting an elk was the purpose of my being in the woods to begin with. As it was dusk and getting darker every moment, I was questioning my decision to stay where I was. Perhaps I should start back?
As I was about to stand and begin my trek back to camp, I caught movement off to my right. I froze half way towards standing. I saw a black bear running through the trees about 30 yards away. It stopped to eat a mere 25 yards from me but it didn’t seem to notice me. It was the first bear I had seen in the wild and it was close. The ones in Yellowstone National Park that come up to the cars on the road for a snack don’t count in my book. Seeing this bear in its own element was the best thing that happened to me on my 10 day adventure. I’ll never forget it or the fact that I don’t have any pictures of my first bear or that I got lost going back to camp. I was not prepared properly.
That day when I returned to camp, I decided that if I am going to put myself in situations to see true wild life in true wild places, I not going to let my gear, or lack there of, jeopardize my adventure. Therefore, immediately following this trip I purchased a digital camera designed for the outdoor enthusiast. One that is fast to get on target, easy to use and takes fabulous photos. I upgraded my two-way radio to a 5 mile capability so I could stay in touch with the campsite. I upgraded my portable GPS unit too. I needed one with better trip planning tools.
I now keep a journal everyday in my RIM Blackberry PDA when I return to camp, and spend time plotting waypoints in my GPS for the next day’s adventure. Technology has given me the tools and the confidence to get the absolute most out of my outdoor life. If you haven’t invested in some of these great technologies, you may be missing out on the time of your life. Use this information and you’ll Get It Right The First Time. Get Outdoors!

While it is virtually impossible and unhealthy to live a stress free life, there is good stress that we actually need to function properly, there is also bad stress that we need to minimize and deal with effectively to live a healthy life. Stress is not something that should be pushed aside to be dealt with later. These aren’t things that we can just internalize and think they will go away. Stress can have a profound impact on our health. What are common causes of stress?
There are many events, situations and things that cause stress. For most of us it is money worries, work and family life issues that cause us the greatest amount of stress. Health is another topic that can cause stress, especially for people that have chronic conditions, medications to buy and testing that needs to be done.
While it is virtually impossible and unhealthy to live a stress free life, see there is good stress that we actually need to function properly, there is also bad stress that we need to minimize and deal with effectively to live a healthy life. Stress is not something that should be pushed aside to be dealt with later. These aren?t things that we can just internalize and think they will go away. Stress can have a profound impact on our health.
The longer the stress goes on though you may begin to experience more health problems such as depression, diabetes, heart disease, hair loss, hyperthyroidism, OCD or anxiety disorders, tooth and gum disease, sexual dysfunction, obesity, ulcers, fatigue and lethargy, difficulty sleeping and possibly death at the most extreme end. Suggestions of things that can be done to combat stress:
There are a number of things you can do that can help you deal with stress. Part of it is dealing with the situation causing the stress, if you can. If you realize it’s something beyond your control, simply letting go of trying to gain control will be stress relieving. Sometimes it means confronting the situation head on, and sometimes to means to put it on a shelf to deal with soon, but don’t procrastinate too long and that only delays the stress itself.
Quiet time and deep breathing can also help soothe jangled nerves. Perhaps taking a powerful nap would be very restorative. Turn off the cell phone, music, TV, computer and other noise making items. Sometimes we just need quiet.
Listen to soothing music and take a hot bath with a beautifully scented candle. The soothing music will help you calm your mind and the hot bath will help release the tension from your body. The fragrance helps to relax as well.

So much happens at a wedding that without photographic images, many of the days events would be lost. Professional digital wedding photographers are usually hired to ensure that memories of the day stay captured and ready to be looked at whenever the couple desires. Looking at an image captured during the wedding or reception can bring the memories back even more than watching a DVD!
The hardest thing if you are a friend or relation is trying to take photographs of the wedding day that they will be pleased with. So, if you need some help for a wedding you are to attend and you are going to use a digital camera, then you may find some useful information in this article.
If you only remember one piece of information from this article, remember to make sure that the photographs have a nice background as it is one of the first things you’ll notice when you look at them. Don’t worry too much if you can’t get a full body shot of the couple. One way to get around this problem is by taking a portrait shot of them.
Spectacled guests can be a problem as glare from their glasses obscures their eyes and reflects back at the camera. Remember to compensate and increase the aperture if you are shooting into the light. Otherwise the couple (or guests) will appear dark in the image.
Natural wedding photos always look better than staged ones but are more difficult to capture when you are too close. In this case a powerful zoom lens is a great advantage. Always be ready for the next wedding photograph because you can’t ask people to repeat those unforgettable moments that everybody wants to see again and again.
Digital cameras rely on two things, memory and power and the last thing you want when you take your shots is to run out of memory or for the batteries to die on you. For 6 mega pixel cameras and up, the absolute bare minimum should be a 1 gigabyte card, preferably 2 gigabytes, and always use the highest resolution your camera can manage if the images are to be printed.
The reason you need to set the cameras resolution to the maximum is because the colors will be richer. Plus, if you want to enlarge the photos, it won’t be a problem. This is achieved by saving the images to your computer where you can print them out at your leisure on special photographic paper.
If you are used to regular film photography, you may find the change to digital wedding photography a little strange at first. But persist and you may find you enjoy it more.

What is the most valuable thing you possess? You may say it is your home, your car or your pension. You might consider it to be your relationships with your family and friends or you could think it is the love you feel for and from those around you. All of these things have value but are they the most valuable thing you possess? How about time?
You can work all your life and become rich and successful but if you never learn to appreciate your time then when time begins to run out you may well look back and wonder why you wasted so much time worrying about money, wealth and possessions. When time runs out they all become valueless to you.
We throw away time like it was something we had unlimited amounts of yet it is the most precious thing we have. We waste an hour here and there watching tv or shopping and at the time we may be amused but will we look back and regret that we didn’t use that time more wisely?
The benefits of time are so obvious that we hardly give it a thought. Time enables you to enjoy spending time with your family and is swallowed up in large amounts by having to work to feed your family and that is a wonderful thing to be able to do but do you want to spend large portions of your limited time to buy a new TV or get the latest gadget?
Most decisions in life are a compromise. We have to make a judgement between alternatives and we forget about the time things take. If you were given a choice between having the latest gadget but losing 3 days of your life which would you choose? The offer is never made in such a way but if you have to spend three days working to get that gadget then that is effectively what you are doing. Giving up time for a gadget.
We all need to pay more attention to time. Modern life is full of meaningless distractions that offer short term excitement but lack long term satisfaction yet we are using up our time allowance on them. Time management is not just about business. It applies to our personal lives too.
Managing your time is so useful a skill that it can make the difference between you leading a happy contented life and one where you never have time to yourself and you feel pushed from pillar to post as you rush around in circles never getting things done.
Whenever you hear of a term like time management you will almost certainly think of it in relation to business and that is where it is most commonly practiced but it makes so much sense, perhaps more sense, to apply it to our personal lives. It effectively makes extra time for us to be able to enjoy the rewarding aspects of life.

Composition is key in the making of a great photo. While many elements go into a photograph, composition can either invite the viewer into the image or keep the image one dimensional and without feeling. How all of the elements in a picture interact with each other through their placement develops the story and message the photograph is wanting to relate to the viewer.
Good composition is really what sets apart really good photographers from mediocre ones. Now while there are many aspects of good composition, framing or cropping of an image is an important part.
Improving the composition of a photograph is simple through the cropping tool available in Photoshop. With this, you can swiftly cut out areas of the photo that you wish to be removed, or that take away from the photo’s subject. Photoshop enables you to measure the portions to by cut, to ensure accuracy.
A major benefit that comes with cropping with Photoshop’s cropping tool is that rethinking your photograph is never a problem. If you aren’t satisfies with your end result, simply start over from the beginning. The possibilities are endless to what you can accomplish.
Here are some tips for better cropping.
Consider the Rule of Thirds
If you spend much time looking at the work of professional photographers you will notice that they rarely center the subject in the picture yet amateurs almost always center their subject. By moving your subject off center you can create a much more profession and eye pleasing image. Imagine lines across your image breaking it up it thirds and then consider cropping your picture so that the subject is in one of the outer thirds. Don’t be afraid to experiment but before you do make sure you make a copy of the original image and save it in a separate folder.
Cropping to Traditional Print Sizes
Standard photo sizes such as 4×6 are easier to frame, so make sure to check the sizing when cropping a photo. Should your image not conform to standard dimensions, simply cut off or add back a little of your photo to meet these sizes. Without this, a photo lab may crop off more than you would want or in the wrong area of the photo to make them print the right size.
Photoshop makes it so easy to crop your photos that you really won’t have to worry about the framing when you take the picture on your camera because you can just fix it later on your computer. Regardless of whether you use Photoshop Elements or the more advanced version, Photoshop CS, the technical aspects of using the cropping tool are essentially the same.

Look into the Konica Minolta Maxxum series of cameras if you find yourself tired of those from Nikon and Canon. In this review, we will note the features of the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D.
The Maxxum 7D is a midrange digital SLR. It offers optical image stabilization with any lens. It has a unique Anti-Shake system that works with all lenses and also has an proficient control layout.
The Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D is finished in a professional matte black comparable to most standard DSLRs. Although conservative in its angular design, it still looks good. The body consists of a hybrid of magnesium-alloy and plastic and is well-built and crafted. It includes a nicely contoured grip and feels sound. Without a lens, the camera weighs in at about 30 ounces, which is an ounce or two heavier than average for this camera class.
Similar to the Olympus Evolt E300, the Maxxum 7D dispenses with a separate status LCD and uses the camera’s main LCD to display shooting settings, a design convention we’ve decided we like. On this Maxxum, the large 2.5-inch LCD has room to display more settings than a typical status LCD - including ISO, color mode, and image parameters, among others.
The optical system of the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D has noticeably been carefully designed to allow one to take great photos. The digital camera comes with a 6.1 megapixel resolution and an Anti-Shake mechanism.
The Anti-Shake mechanism prevents image blur created by camera motion. This mechanism is built in the Maxxum 7D’s body and works by shifting the CCD. This enables it to function with all Konica Minolta autofocus (AF) lenses.
The Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D’s advanced AF system includes nine focus points. You can leave all of them active and let the camera choose which to use from shot to shot or you can select the active point yourself. You can also set the camera to automatically switch to continuous or tracking AF operation if it detects subject movement.
The Maxxum 7D offers a broad range of exposure selections. These consist of all four standard exposure modes; three light-metering modes (14-segment honeycomb, center-weighted, and spot); ambient exposure compensation either in half-EV increments to plus or minus 3EV or in one-third-EV increments to plus or minus 2EV. The sensor’s sensitivity can be set to auto or from ISO 100 to ISO 3,200 in 1EV increments.
The user controls of the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D are where they should be for the advanced photographer’s camera. The most significant features are controlled by means of dedicated external buttons, rather than being in the menu system itself.
Exposure adjustments and some other shooting settings are controlled with thumb and forefinger command wheels. The white-balance control, a rotating switch surrounding a button that cleverly accesses numerous menu choices, is the quickest and most flexible I’ve seen.
You will find a dial on the camera’s top-left side for setting flash or ambient exposure compensation. The same adjustments can also be made using the forefinger wheel, which seems to be more efficient. As a whole, control position and operating efficiency on this camera are among the best on any DSLR.
The Konica Minolta 7D’s noted battery life is more or less adequate for a full day’s shooting. If you are reliant on a long battery life, you can always take along some extras that can be purchased at your neighborhood camera store.
The Minolta 7D stores your photos in CompactFlash Type I/II memory cards. You can also use a MicroDrive should you choose. Pictures are transferred easily from the camera to the PC with the USB 2.0 interface.
There are some quirks I noticed in the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D. What are these quirks? Well, for one thing, the camera is slow to start-up. You are also limited to one JPEG compression ratio in raw-plus-JPEG, and there is no way to avoid noise reduction processing in high ISO images.
I hope this Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D review has been helpful to you. If it is you are seeking a decent professional SLR camera, the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D might be hard to pass up. Still make sure to do your own research when making a buying decision and after thatHappy Shopping!

Photography can be defined as the action of capturing photographs. In simple, yet technical terms, photography is the capturing of light and recording it onto another medium such as film or digital media.
Photography can be a pursuit of pleasure or a pursuit of financial gain. Whether you do photography as a hobby for the sake of your own enjoyment or do photography as a professional pursuit, the quality of your photographs will influence how much benefit you get out of it.
Photography has advanced significantly over the past few years. Before the advent of digital cameras, film cameras were widely used. Today, however, digital cameras are becoming more and more popular.
The 35mm film SLR camera was a nice device to own in its day, but the digital SLR camera can help even the amateur photographer to get the results of a professional photographer.”Once the 35mm film SLR camera was the camera to own but now, there are digital SLR cameras like the Canon Rebel Xti that give the photographer great results with less frustration than their film counterparts” says Minneapolis photographer Bob Dale.
Black-and-white photography, color photography, and digital photography are the three main styles of photography in use today.
Black-and-white photography is often referred to as monochrome photography. Black-and-white photography is not just the original photography style; it has remained an artistic photography style. Though color photography has been around for many decades, the special contrasts created by black-and-white photography continued to be used for their artistic appeal. “Today Black-and-white photography is associated with “fine art” photography, as in the style of Ansel Adams landscape photos or the George Hurrell style of Hollywood portraits” says professional digital photographer Bob Dale.
Monochrome photography can also be done in hues of a specific color, rather than in black-and-white form. For example, cyanotype monochrome photography makes use of blue-and-white color variations.
In the mid-1800s, experiments on color photography began. During this time, color couldn’t be fixed on the photographs and the color couldn’t be prevented from fading. In 1861, however, a physicist named James Clerk Maxwell took the first permanent color photograph. Back then, three cameras were used to take color photos, with the lens on each of the three cameras having a color filter in front of it.
Color photography became a lot more sustainable with the Autochrome in 1907. Color film didn’t enter the mix until Agfacolor film in 1932. It was 1935 when Kodak introduced the modern color film. Polaroid came out with an ‘instant’ color film in 1963.
Digital photography took things to all-new levels. Digital photography isn’t limited by the capabilities of film for its capture and storage of images. Images are translated from a sensor into a digital format that is immediately recorded to an electronic memory storage unit.
As you can imagine, photography that is done in digital form can be easily saved, manipulated, and shared with digital electronics. Instead of dealing with tedious chemical and image transfer processes, you can simply print your pictures straight from the digital media or from your computer.
Most photography professionals who specialize in portrait photography or wedding photography choose digital SLR cameras. Digital SLR cameras give the photographer the ability to print out quick proof sheets so the customers can quickly pick out which photographs they want to buy.
Digital SLRs become particularly handy for wedding photography in varying lighting conditions where the digital camera can make adjustments for the lighting without the need for flash. It is also handy to be able to quickly review photographs during the event to make sure the photographer has gotten good pictures of the wedding guests, wedding dress, and wedding cake while the opportunity for retakes still exists.
Digital cameras have become very affordable. The prices of simple digital cameras have been continually dropping due to increased competition and decreasing electronic component prices. For less than $100, you can purchase a digital camera that will take good pictures of your family and friends without requiring much technical knowledge or skill in photography.
As you become more experienced in digital photography, you may want to bring your hobby to the next level with a more advanced digital camera. You may even want to make a living off digital photography.

The market for the digital SLR camera is growing rapidly. The IDC report titled 2007 Worldwide Digital Camera Market Share Review pointed out that digital SLR cameras accounted for 7.5 million of the 131 million digital cameras sold. It is no surprise that such big brands as Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Sony led the way in total digital SLR camera sales. Canon and Nikon alone account for about 80% of the digital SLR market. Sony and Olympus account for another 12% of the market.
The IDC report showed that Canon had been running alone atop the digital SLR camera market, but Nikon closed the gap, thanks to such popular models as the Nikon D300 and the Nikon D40x. In Japan, Nikon surpassed Canon in total digital SLR camera sales. “Nikon has always been the strong leader among professional photographers” says Minneapolis photographer Bob Dale.
Digital SLR, often abbreviated dSLR, stands for digital single lens reflex. The terminology single lens reflex refers to the fact that the camera lens has a mirror behind it that sends the captured light to the viewfinder.
In other words, there is light coming in through the lens, which is then sent by a mirror placed at a 90 degree angle to the pentaprism. When you take a picture, it is as simple as the mirror being lifted to allow the shutter to open. The light then is captured by the image sensor behind the shutter instead of being reflected by the mirror.
If you’re looking to buy a digital SLR camera, you’ll have plenty of choices. The most popular brands today are Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Pentax. It’s not a coincidence that these manufacturers are also the top manufacturers of 35mm film SLR cameras.
Canon has long been known for the quality of its cameras. Currently, the Canon EOS line of cameras is among the best lines of digital SLR cameras on the market. It consistently earns high praise from consumers for being simple, having plenty of options, and providing great pictures.
With the Canon EOS line of digital SLR cameras, you will typically get about 10.1 megapixels of resolution. This is true of the Canon Digital Rebel series as well.
As far as digital SLRs go, Canon cameras consistently receive high ratings. Users and product testers alike feel that a Canon digital camera is one of the best in the market.
Nikon is a well-respected name in the digital SLR market. Nikon, one of the original innovators in the digital SLR market, has continued to be a strong competitor in the digital SLR market with its Nikon D series of cameras.
At the top of the Nikon D series is the Nikon D300 digital SLR. It features a large LCD screen to show you what your picture will look like before you take it and what your picture looks like after you take it. But the price of the Nikon D300 is currently running at about $1,700. If you are looking for professional quality digital photography, this digital SLR camera is a good choice.
For those who don’t need all of the professional features of the Nikon D300, the Nikon D40 is an excellent, budget alternative with a price of $450 to $650. You will get great shots with this 6.1 megapixel digital SLR camera. It features a compact design for people on the go. “It’s a super choice for doing travel photography” says professional digital photographer Bob Dale.
Still there’s the Nikon Coolpix P5100, one of the top rated digital SLR cameras in the point-and-shoot category. This camera has both automatic and manual control (zoom, focus and exposure), making it ideal for casual photographers. It has a 2.5-inch LCD display that you can use when setting up your shots instead of the viewfinder. This digital SLR camera retails between $200 and $300.
Panasonic Lumix DMC digital SLR cameras tend to combine high quality pictures with affordable prices. Through 2007, Panasonic had released more than 60 digital SLR cameras under the Lumix DMC line, with the most recent ones all having a resolution of at least 10.1 megapixels and a 12.5x optical zoom.
Another feature that makes the Panasonic digital SLR cameras popular is that they are typically very portable. But what really sets them apart, is that the newest models are typically not much over $400.
Mention SLR cameras and the name Pentax quickly comes to mind. How many of us had a Pentax as our first 35mm SLR camera? Pentax, just like the rest of the camera manufacturers, has entered into the digital camera arena.
Pentax digital cameras are of high quality and come in a variety of models that range from the entry level SLR to professional models. Some of the better models are the K series and the Optio series. Both of these Pentax digital SLR series of cameras offer users great photographs and a variety of options commonly found on the most popular digital SLR cameras.
As you can see, there are a lot of fine digital SLR cameras on the market. There are good digital SLR options for just about any serious amateur or professional photographer’s budget. Basically, it comes down to a trade off between what features you need and how much you want to pay.
A few of the other things you’ll want to keep in mind when comparing digital SLR options are battery life, battery cost, camera warranty, and storage media options. But mainly, you will want to get a memory card that can hold 1,000 or more high resolution photos. After you invest a great deal of money in a camera, you will want to be sure you won’t run out of storage space when you’re out shooting photos and you visualize that perfect picture.
